Regulatory shifts: the mobility package and the latest generation of tachographs
A key component of the training involved an in-depth discussion on the changes brought about by the mobility package, which encompasses the introduction of new tachographs and modifications to the regulations governing working, driving, and rest times for drivers engaged in occasional passenger transport. We conducted an analysis of how these changes will impact inspectors’ daily responsibilities and identified the tools and data necessary for them to effectively verify drivers’ working hours.
Discussions about the challenges facing the transportation industry
During the meeting, we engaged in numerous substantive discussions addressing the current challenges and issues facing the transportation industry. We meticulously focused on the challenges associated with time recording and its influence on the accurate calculation of drivers’ wages.
Key Takeaways:
For years, Polish labor inspectors have been using specialized software to analyze data from tachographs and driver cards. In addition to verifying working hours, driving time, and rest periods, they also assess the accuracy of time records, which serve as the foundation for wage calculations.
